Introduction

Saturday, June 6, 2026
9:00 AM
Welcome to Rio! The following itinerary is ours, but it does not have to be yours. You are more than welcome and encouraged to join us for anything listed here or make up your own. There is no pressure. All we ask is that you attend the ceremony on 6/12, and the dinner on 6/11 if possible. Of course, our itinerary is subject to change based on weather, so we will set up text chains to communicate day of changes. We will be in Brazil June 6 – June 18. To help first time visitors we've placed a * on any tourists experiences we highly recommend. We’re so happy you’re here with us to share in this special moment in this magical place!

Sunset at Arpoador*

Saturday, June 6, 2026
4:00 PM
We love sunset on Arpoador. It’s a rock formation between Ipanema and Copacabana beaches that people sit on to watch the gorgeous sunsets – everyday – and when the suns dips just below the horizon everyone claps.

Ipanema Street Market*

Sunday, June 7, 2026
9:00 AM–11:30 AM
The Sunday street market is the famous Feira Hippie de Ipanema (Ipanema Hippie Fair), held near Praça General Osório, offering souvenirs, art, clothes, and food on Sundays from morning to early evening. We love this market for the original local art including the piece that hangs over our fireplace. Note that there is also the daily Copacabana Fair (Feira de Copacabana) that runs nightly along Avenida Atlântica, focusing on souvenirs, art, and beachwear from late afternoon/evening. https://mindtrip.ai/attraction/rio-de-janeiro-state/feira-hippie-de-ipanema/at-37EXW0KK

Barra Beach (weather permitting)

Sunday, June 7, 2026
12:00 PM
Barra Beach, or Barra da Tijuca Beach, is Rio de Janeiro's longest beach (nearly 18 km) in the upscale West Zone, known for its wide white sands, clear waters, great surf, boardwalk, bike path, kiosks, and family-friendly atmosphere.

Park Lage*

Monday, June 8, 2026
10:00 AM–1:00 PM
This is my favorite because it’s full of wildlife, but don’t feed the monkeys – seriously! You cannot make reservations in advance for the restaurant, but we suggest putting your name in and then explore the expansive site. https://freewalkertours.com/parque-lage-3/

Visit H. Stern Jewelry headquarters

Monday, June 8, 2026
1:30 PM–3:30 PM
H. Stern's global headquarters is in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, specifically in the Ipanema neighborhood, where the company was founded and maintains its main design, production, and gemological labs. When visiting the headquarters you will have exclusive access to premium jewels that can only be acquired in Rio de Janeiro. You can see the most beautiful collection of precious stones and where we got our rings. It is a breathtaking experience.

Sugarloaf*

Wednesday, June 10, 2026
11:00 AM–5:00 PM
You take a cable car up to the top of the tallest mountain rock and the views are absolutely incredible. You can combine this with other packages and visit multiple tourist locations in one day, but we like to savor Sugarloaf and the beach below and then head up to the top just before sunset. https://www.bondinho.com.br/en
